Get the message, the video and the day itself ready before you announce.
What's inside
Use this checklist to line up the message, the video and the day itself before the announcement becomes the deadline for everything else.
The message. What changed for the people using your product, and why it matters.
The video. What needs to be ready before the announcement goes out.
The day itself. The pieces to line up before you hit publish.
Good to know
Who is it for?
Founders and small teams announcing a launch, a funding round or a big feature, and whoever owns the announcement, from the CEO to the one designer.
When should you use it?
Two to three weeks before the announcement, then again the day before. Most of the list takes time to get right, like the message, the video and the people you want to share it.
How do you use it?
Go through it with your team in one sitting. Mark what's done, give everything else an owner and a date, and keep it open on launch day.
Why does it matter?
A launch gets one day of attention. Teams that decide the message first and prepare everything around it get more from that day than teams fixing things as it happens.
